I’M ERIN
Designer, maker, chronic music listener, and the person at the grocery store who stops to appreciate the packaging.
I came into college not knowing exactly what I wanted to do — just that I needed it to involve making things. I'd spent my whole life being the crafty one. Homemade gifts for everyone, sketchbooks in every bag, summers at art camps. When a cousin who'd studied graphic design showed me what the field actually was, something clicked. I didn't know what the work would look like yet, but I knew it was mine.
What I didn't expect was how completely I'd fall for it. I still get genuinely excited scrolling past a beautifully made ad or picking up a package in a store just to look at the back. The talent of people in this world is staggering and honestly a little inspiring every single time. That hasn't faded after four years of studying it. If anything, it's
gotten louder.
Outside the studio, I'm probably in the kitchen trying a recipe I found at midnight on TikTok, mid-project on something I'm sewing, or somewhere listening to music — which is basically always. (111,166 Spotify minutes this year. I'm not sorry.) I pick things up fast and I lean into it, whether that's a new technique in Illustrator or teaching myself to sew something I had no business attempting. I think that's actually what makes me useful as a designer. I'm not afraid to try the thing.
My Work
My work lives at the intersection of branding, packaging, and digital design and what ties it all together is this: I care about the feeling a design carries. So many projects come with constraints, brand guidelines, platform rules, client expectations, and I've learned to love working inside them. Not because the constraints go away, but because there's always a corner where personality can live. Finding that corner is my favorite part of the job.
